Institute of Advanced Study: 2022/23 Fellowships

(14 May 2021)

The 2022/23 IAS Fellowship scheme is now open for nominations and open applications. The deadline for these is midday 25 June 2021.

The IAS seeks to bring to Durham internationally leading academics, as well writers, artists and practitioners, to collaborate with adventurous interdisciplinary developments initiated across the University. The Fellowship scheme thus supports the internationalisation of the University and expands its worldwide network of distinguished research collaborators. We hope that colleagues will nominate stellar Fellows and spread the word to encourage similarly high quality open applications.

The IAS is particularly keen to attract applications from leading scholars with an interest in interdisciplinary research. Each year we support a number of collaborative research projects, and research developments. Some of our Fellowships are reserved for nominated Fellows to participate in projects funded by the IAS (for details see here). However, additional Fellowships are also available for scholars who would like to apply to engage with these projects, or who want to come to Durham for a term to work on collaborative interdisciplinary research projects with academics at Durham University. All applicants must have a Durham host and a collaboratively composed Fellowship plan to ensure that such collaborations are substantive and strategically embedded, with potential long-term benefits to interdisciplinary research at Durham University.

IAS Fellowships run for a 3-month period between October-Dec 2022 or January-March 2023.

Further details about the 2022/23 IAS Fellowships are here and colleagues hoping to nominate Fellows should visit this page.
