Behavioural Insights Society: Prebunking and Misinformation with Rakoen Maertens

(30 April 2021)

Join us for the opportunity to discuss psychological interventions to counter the impact of misinformation and how to scale them at 2pm on Friday 7 May.

In this session we will discuss the latest insights on debunking and prebunking misinformation, and how behavioural insights can be used to develop effective interventions to counter the impact of misinformation. The challenge of translating science into practice will be discussed and demonstrated through a range of interventions, among which the educational media literacy game Bad News, which has now been played by >1 million people. We also look into topics such as the long-term effectiveness of interventions and and collaboration with governments and other partners.
