Google Scholar: Getting more out of Google
(19 February 2021)
Google Scholar is a part of the Google search engine which searches academic-related sources exclusively. The index which Google Scholar uses includes most peer-reviewed online journals from some of the largest scholarly publishers, as well as academic books and other non-peer-reviewed journals. This webinar session on Friday 26 February will cover how to make the most of Google Scholar, and utilise it as part of your research process.
This is an introductory session targeted at beginners new to Google Scholar. Attendees will learn how to search for academic materials and utilise the various functions within Scholar, leaving the session with the ability to apply what they have learned to their own area of study.
The webinar is open to all members of the University and takes place on Wednesday 24 February 2pm-3pm and is repeated on Friday 26 February 10am-11am. To book either of these sessions, simply visit the Training Course Booking System.
