Volunteer with Cosin's Library

(12 February 2021)

Interested in local history? Want to improve your archival skills? The Cosin's Library Project team at Palace Green Library are looking for volunteers to help us with transcription and research.

The Cosin’s Library Project is a new project which works to improve access to the recently refurbished Cosin’s Library at Palace Green Library, Durham.

As part of the project, we’re now looking for volunteers to help us with transcription and research into the history of Cosin's Library. Volunteers will have the opportunity to transcribe 17th-century correspondence and book registers, research previous borrowers and the history of the site, undertake our new palaeography (study of old handwriting) course, and become part of our friendly and committed project team.
