Institute of Advanced Study: Fellows and projects 2020/21
(8 January 2021)
The Institute of Advanced Study is delighted to welcome its second cohort of 2020/21 Fellows. The Institute’s programme for visiting Fellows continues in virtual form in response to the global pandemic. Our Fellows’ lectures and seminars are scheduled across the term, and collaborators will develop virtual programmes of work during this time.
Two major interdisciplinary projects will take place during this term:
Quantifying the Global Risk of Volcanic Eruptions to the Airline Industry will consider the problem of volcanic eruptions in the context of global flight paths; and Negotiating Landscapes of Rights will examine the negotiation of rights around common resources through a series of case studies from around the world. Further information about these projects can be found here.
Details of the Fellows associated with these projects as well as those collaborating with other Durham academics can be found at www.durham.ac.uk/ias.
