EU Settlement Scheme – reminder

The EU Settlement Scheme is the mechanism by which EU citizens may continue living in the UK after 31 December 2020. Applications are free and you have until 30 June 2021 to apply provided that you were resident in the UK by 31 December 2020. Getting status through the scheme will protect your future rights, so it is very important that you apply. The Home Office advice is that applications are taking longer than usual to process because of Covid-19, so the recommendation is that you do not delay your application if not already submitted.
