A Collaborative Exploration: Social Sciences in Action

(6 November 2020)

As part of the 2020 ESRC Festival of Social Science, we are hosting a fast-paced online workshop to bring social science researchers and businesses together to explore collaborative opportunities.

During this event we will capture industry-led issues, analyse them to focus on the key issues, brainstorm solutions, and capture next steps and/or action points.

The event will provide businesses with an opportunity to share current challenges, and in an interactive two-part workshop, facilitated by Dr Sabina Strachan of how2glu, businesses and researchers will work together to identify opportunities, solutions, and explore the potential for collaboration.

Why should I attend?

Collaboration with external partners provides an opportunity for your research to achieve impact outside of academia and showcases the high quality research taking place at Durham University. The social sciences have a vital part to play in improving productivity and innovation in the UK, in turn improving the UK economy and society.
