Help with staying vigilant on phishing
(30 October 2020)
As part of our Cyber Security work we introduced email disclaimers to all incoming external emails on Monday 26 October. The is to help us all stay vigilant when receiving external emails which are more likely to contain phishing links or malicious attachments. We've tried to ensure the message reminds us to take caution before opening external attachments or following links, whilst not being too intrusive.
The message that will appear at the top of incoming external emails will look like this:
[EXTERNAL EMAIL] Do not open links or attachments unless you recognise the sender and know the content is safe. Otherwise, use the Report Message button or report to firstname.lastname@example.org.
For more information about how to spot and report phishing emails please see the Stay Safe Online guide.
