Keep Active – One of the five ways to wellbeing

Being physically active is not only great for your physical health and fitness. Evidence shows it can also improve your mental wellbeing by raising your self-esteem and causing chemical changes in your brain which can help to positively change your mood. Please visit the Five Ways to Wellbeing web page where there are examples of the variety of activities that you can undertake to stay active. The Fitness Centre at our Sports and Wellbeing Park is open with procedures in place to comply with government guidelines. From Monday 26 October there will be 16 live classes for members, including Pilates and Yoga. Eight of the classes will be available for staff online via the ‘Durham University Fitness’ MS Teams. These classes will also be recorded so people can watch them later. Here you can find the timetable of classes.
