Updated cyber security standards now available

(31 July 2020)

To help protect us further from cyber crime, we have revised and updated our cyber security standards. The updated documents can now be found here.

The standards outline what we expect everyone to do, how we all need to behave online and how we can keep ourselves and the University safe.

The standards are divided into three groups. The first group of standards–IT regulations Password and Credential standards and IT device - are for everyone. We encourage you read these standards to familiarise yourself with your obligations.

The second group is most likely applicable to staff who perform IT technical activities, selection and procurement of IT Facilities or services (including cloud) or those involved in the administration of IT or IT system user accounts. And the third group is aimed at IT staff and IT specialists across the University who administer aspects of IT Facilities.

While it is not necessary for everyone to read and understand every standard, we encourage you to review the standards that are relevant to your role. Please get in touch with the IT Service Desk if you have any questions.
