Infrastructure Improvements project - Works around the Mountjoy Centre
(3 July 2020)
As part of the £8m Infrastructure Improvements project to enhance movement around the University, works around the Mountjoy Centre will start on Monday 6 July, with an expected duration of six weeks.
This part of the project will involve the installation of new pedestrian walkways through the existing car parks; installation of four zebra crossings around the Department of Psychology and the Mountjoy Centre; and the construction of new footpaths with drop crossings, linking Rowan House to the existing car parks and the bus stop.
Repositioning of street lighting columns to accommodate the new footpaths will also be taking place.
Narrow lane and priority system closures will be required to allow access on to verge areas to construct the footpaths.
Please follow signed diversions and a traffic marshal will be on site to guide you through the works where required.
