Enhancements to the staff contact form

Following a spam campaign aimed at our colleagues and identified by CIS, additional enhancements have been implemented to stop any future attempts. Fraudsters used our Contact Form page available on our website to send these messages and used genuine email addresses of some of our colleagues to create legitimacy and entice the recipients to act.
The enhancements are now have been successfully implemented and include:
• Restricting the form from accepting any “@durham.ac.uk” email addresses as the sender.
• For each request, the sender will be asked to prove they are not a robot via a CAPTCHA test.
