Opportunities for social science researchers
(18 June 2020)
A range of new training and development opportunities is available for social science researchers, funded by the Accelerating Business Collaboration initiative. All current opportunities are available to view online here.
The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Impact Acceleration Accounts at Durham, Newcastle and Queen’s Belfast universities have received top-up funds from the National Productivity Investment Fund (NPIF) with the purpose of ‘Accelerating Business Collaboration’ (ABC) between the social sciences and the private sector. The primary aim of this scheme is to build the capacity and capability of postgraduate and early career researchers (PGRs and ECRs) in the social sciences to engage with and create opportunities to collaborate with industry/business, helping contribute to economic and societal development in this region and beyond.
A range of training and development opportunities are available, ranging from short 2 hour sessions to a 6 month development programme. Opportunities will be shared with the relevant departments, however you can check the website at any time for the full list of opportunities.
