It's 'On Air - Online' Learning at Work Week
(15 May 2020)
This takes place between 18-24 May. It aims to put a spotlight on the importance and benefits of continual learning and development. Research shows that learning new skills can also improve our mental wellbeing by boosting self-confidence and raising self-esteem. Here’s a reminder of some of the current online opportunities available from the HR-OD team. Online resources from HR-OD can be accessed here, which includes resources mapped to 15 of the most popular face to face development sessions to enable colleagues to continue with their CPD during this time. Also available (online on DUO) are courses for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion related development including Safeguarding from Radicalisation.
New digital and numeracy courses, tools and resources can be found via The Skills Toolkit from The Department for Education. Staff also have access to an eLibrary of educational eBooks which can be downloaded about various topics. For example, learn how to improve your personal effectiveness by reading through eBooks including: The Experts Teach: Time Management and Successful Time Management.
Online Personal Development Workbooks are available for Professional Services Staff to consider the skills and behaviours required to effectively carry out the responsibilities at each grade within each of the Job Family groups. The workbooks will enable individuals to identify the skills and behavioural attributes required at each grade and give opportunity, through the completion of a training needs analysis, to identify individual strengths and development needs.
