Biodiversity week... What's your Greenspace?
(1 May 2020)
Next week marks our first biodiversity week. Over the years we have celebrated and promoted the local biodiversity that surrounds the University. Students and staff have been involved with maintaining key habitats and improving the overall biodiversity on-site and in the local woodlands. As you know this term will be very different, however, we don’t want this to stop us from observing what is around us, wherever we are.
For this week we would have planned a series of guided walks around the Botanic Gardens, organised Quizzes and different Stalls across the estates to get everyone involved with biodiversity week. Instead, we invite you to show us what on your doorstep... ‘What’s your Greenspace?’
Whether, it’s your garden, local park, views from your window, whichever natural space you enjoy or are looking forward to visiting post lockdown, share it with us online by liking our Facebook page, tag us in a photo and use the hashtag #MyGreenspace or email us at email@example.com.
