Switch it OFF!

(6 March 2020)

You may have seen some little green stickers on light switches, plug sockets, and monitors. If you see one, it means you can Switch It OFF! Switching things off that aren't in use can save so much carbon! Take your monitor for instance, you might be looking at it right now...

When you finish work or studying, why not turn it off? The amber light means it has gone into standby mode. If all the University's monitors were left in standby overnight for a whole year, it could produce enough Carbon to fill 440 Double Decker Buses!

So, remember, switch it off.
