New dangerous phishing campaign related to Coronavirus
(7 February 2020)
We’re aware that there is a new malicious phishing campaign targeting people around the world. It is a highly dangerous attempt, and like all phishing emails, we strongly recommend you not to open the email or its attachments. We understand the emails use the fear of the outbreak and claim to offer advice on protective safety measures to entice users to open them and any enclosed attachments. If you receive an email about the Coronavirus from an unknown source, please use the “Report Message” button in the top right corner of Outlook to report it, or alternatively forward to firstname.lastname@example.org, and then delete the email.
CIS has measures in place to filter malicious emails however some will still make their way through. For more information on how to spot phishing, please check our web pages.
