Networking and briefing event

(10 January 2020)

Are you an early career researcher, new to the University or looking to expand your research network across the Social Sciences & Health (SS&H) Faculty and find out more about research opportunities and support? If so, then do join us at the SS&H Faculty research networking and briefing event, which will be held on Monday 20 January, midday – 1.30pm, Bar Lounge in the Business School. If you would like to attend, please email holly.ayre@durham.ac.uk with your name, department and any special dietary requirements. Please note that places are limited.

Starting at midday with a buffet lunch, there will be an opportunity to meet and chat informally with colleagues from across the faculty. Between 12.40 and 1.30pm, Emma Bowen (Research Development Manager) will give an overview of the grant development support that RIS offers with pointers to useful resources and schemes. Christine Merrell (Deputy Executive Dean (Research) SS&H) will share information about the ESRC Impact Acceleration Account and other sources of help to develop impact from your research. We will leave plenty of time for Q&As.
