AHRC Liaison Group Chair

Research & Innovation Services is recruiting for an AHRC Liaison Group Chair to start immediately.The UKRI Liaison Groups are internal groups established to initiate, support and follow up engagement activity, share feedback and disseminate opportunities and 'intelligence' appropriately across the University. The deadline for applications is Friday 17 January 2020. Applications should be submitted to email@example.com.
Each Group, with an academic Chair, has a small membership of nominated academics who have established strategic links with the funder and is supported by named contacts from the Research Development and Research Operations Teams.
The Liaison Groups meet four times a year, and share information more frequently via email. Many Liaison Groups are also involved in the peer review process for the individual councils.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate a track record of engagement with the AHRC; for example via grants awarded, peer review duties or strategic linkages.
Applications should be submitted via your Head of Department / School to receive their endorsement and should consist of a two page CV and a two page (maximum) supporting statement that outlines your interest in the position, your experience with the funder and some initial ideas for increasing University engagement with the funder.
The position is usually held for a three year term.
