N8 Digital Humanities and Digital Health
(29 November 2019)
The N8 Centre of Excellence in Computationally Intensive Research (N8 CIR) are currently exploring the CIR skills gaps and requirements within the Digital Humanities and Digital Health communities. A series of events are being held across the eight Northern Universities to allow all Researchers, Academics and PGR’s to discuss the research that is currently happening within each institution, and give their feedback on how this could be improved. The key objective of the meeting is to help the N8 Partnership shape their future strategy for Digital Humanities and Digital Health.
On Monday 9 December, Durham will be running their event at Van Mildert College in the Ustinov room. The meeting will be split in two halves, starting with the Digital Humanities intro between 11am - 12.30pm, followed by lunch before the Digital Health session between 1pm - 2pm. Please see the Eventbrite registration links below. The sessions will include an introduction to both topics at Durham as well as a variety of briefs from academics covering both areas in relation to their own research. There will also be opportunities throughout both sessions for audience members to give live feedback about the two communities at Durham and the N8 Involvement.
Everybody is welcome to attend the lunch! Please feel free to stick around after the Digital Humanities event and join us for lunch beforehand if you are registered for Digital Health.
