Durham Christmas Festival

The Christmas Festival returns on Friday 29 November - Sunday 1 December with festive entertainment and markets in and around the City Centre. Discounted £2 entry to the Craft & Gift Marquee on Palace Green will be available on Friday 29 November if you show your Durham University card.

Craft & Gift Marquee:

The huge, heated Craft & Gift Marquee on Palace Green features over 180 stalls of fabulous artisans, food, and drinks-makers, including some Durham University staff and alumni! It’s open:

  • Friday 29 November 10am to 6pm
  • Saturday 30 November 9am to 6pm
  • Sunday 1 December 10am to 4.30pm

Otherwise tickets are £4, or £3.50 if purchased in advance online: http://durhamchristmasfestival.com

Carers are also entitled to free entry on Friday 29 November if they are bringing the person(s) they care for to the festival.

Regional Food & Drink Market:

In the Cloisters of Durham Cathedral, discover a Regional Food and Drink Producers' Market featuring more than 30 traders. It's open:

  • Friday 29 November 10am to 5pm
  • Saturday 30 November 9am to 5pm
  • Sunday 1 December 12pm to 4.30pm

Entry is free, but you may wish to make a donation to Durham Cathedral.

Durham Market Hall will also be open each day of the Christmas Festival (including Sunday!), and there will be an additional Festive Market in the Market Place.
