24 hours of football
(8 November 2019)
Kicking off at 7pm on the 22 November, Collingwood College AFC is running a continuous 24-hour football match in aid of the Sir Stanley Matthews Coaching Foundation. The foundation seeks to change the lives of disadvantaged children through sport and has initiatives all over the world. All are welcome to play. If you are interested in getting involved in the match, please have a look at the Facebook page and click 'going' or 'interested'. Sign up will be available shortly.
This is the 2nd year running that CCAFC have run a continuous 24-hour match for a charitable cause. Last year we raised over £7,500 in aid of the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), a charity set up to combat male suicide in the United Kingdom. We are an ambitious club and are looking to build on the success of last year.
The event is open to anyone from the University regardless of ability and is being supported this year by the Collingwood Cheer Squad and DDC Event Catering's 'Gourmet Grille'!
