Durham Code Club

(8 November 2019)

Durham Code Club, a student volunteering project, offering free sessions teaching children aged eight and above to code. This is an exciting way for your child to learn a valuable skill. Sessions run every Wednesday between 6.30pm-7.30pm in Elvet Riverside 1. Contact codeclub.sca@durham.ac.uk for more information and to register your child.

We believe that students are not getting the support they need to nurture their programming skills in schools. Programming is an essential skill in this modern world which helps children develop critical skills such as computational and logical thinking, essential for any career. We hope to give this support to any student with a slight interest to help your child develop into their best selves.

We currently operate courses on scratch which is used throughout the KS2 curriculum but are expanding into python and website design for the more able student.

All sessions are FREE and open to students of all abilities and backgrounds.
