Green Ambitions; A public Talk from Boris Palmer, Mayor of Tübingen

2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the civic twinning of Durham and Tübingen in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. As part of these anniversary celebrations the Mayor of Tübingen, Boris Palmer, will deliver a talk titled 'Greening the City' on Saturday 16th November at 11am in the Ustinov room in Van Mildert College. Admission will be free.

A member of the Green Party, Boris Palmer will share his ambitions on becoming Germany's first carbon neutral city by 2030. Boris has been passionate about his plans from the day he came into office, even replacing his official car for an official bicycle.

Come to the talk to hear about his radical policies to achieving carbon neutral, such as his levy on on-street parking to pay for free public transport for the city's residents and other policies due to be debated by the new council.

The event will take place on Saturday 16th November at 11am in the Ustinov room in Van Mildert College. Admission will be free.
