Durham University Writing Group, Monday 4 November

(31 October 2019)

Do you ever find research and writing too solitary an activity? Durham University Writing Group can help! The group will be meeting on Mondays this term. The next session will take place in the Horsfall Room, St Chad's College, from 9am-4pm, this Monday (4 November) - feel free to drop in and out at any time. For more information, contact helen.b.roche@durham.ac.uk.

Do you ever find work and writing too solitary an activity? Do you find that days spent entirely on research can lack structure, or that you waste time procrastinating when you intended to work solidly?

Writing Groups offer peer support, sociability and working structure, following a repeating cycle - e.g. 10 minutes socialising, 5 minutes discussing goals with a partner, 60 minutes of focused writing/working - you don't have to write - the process can be equally helpful when reading, coding, or any other form of concentrated work.
