Durham SU Advice Service - signposting your students for independent advice

(11 October 2019)

The Students’ Union Advice Service provides friendly, professional and impartial advice in a confidential setting. If your students find themselves in a tricky situation, you can direct them to the helpful guides on the website or to send in an enquiry here. This service is free to all Durham students, because every student has the right to access affordable housing, a good quality education, and to feel part of a safe and inclusive community.

The Advice Service offers support with housing, academic problems, or anything else that might be affecting students during their time at Durham. Advisers can offer face-to-face appointments, as well as signposting when there’s someone else who might be able to better address the student’s needs.

The Students’ Union is separate from the University, meaning that all enquiries are dealt with in the strictest confidence.

Students can get in touch with the Advice Service directly using the online form here.
