Durham University: Tackling climate change event - Event feedback
(27 September 2019)
We know that many of our staff and students feel strongly about the consequences of climate change and so on the global day of action we ran Durham University: Tackling Climate Change, an event exploring research we’re undertaking aimed at tackling climate change and work we’re doing to reduce our own carbon footprint. For more information and to listen to the talks please click here.
Held in our new Teaching and Learning Centre, the event featured posters, stands, visit from Durham County Council and Northumbrian Water and talks by leading researchers. Around 500 people attended.
A news item on the event:
We were excited by the wide range of positive feedback from the meeting highlighting the opportunities Durham University have to engage with and support environmental sustainability on campus and in the region. Many of these initiatives are already in train and some quite advanced. These and others, Greenspace and its working groups will address in a separate article.
