Dunelmensis nominations

(23 August 2019)

Nominations for the 2020 Dunelmensis Award are now open and DARO is currently seeking nominations for consideration by the awards panel. The Award is the University’s highest honour given to alumni in recognition of the significant contribution an alumna or alumnus has made to their College, Department or the University, and which has led to the enhancement of the University’s reputation or contributed to its institutional advancement.

For more information, please click here.

This year the Award is being given to The Revd Charles K Robertson (Theology, Graduate Society, 1996-99) and Ian Ellison-Taylor (Computing, Grey College, 1987-90).

The nomination criteria has been adapted slightly in the hope of encouraging greater diversity amongst potential nominees, as well as emphasising the importance of non-philanthropic contributions. As in previous years, the awarding committee has indicated it may choose to make more than one award should it receive a number of particularly strong applications.

If you would like to nominate an alumna or alumnus please complete the form using the following link. Completed forms should be returned to Tristan at Tristan.alltimes@durham.ac.uk by Friday, 27 September. Please share this email with colleagues who you may want to consult with during the nomination process, though we ask that any nominations remain confidential, especially to the candidates themselves.

We are happy to accept applications for previous nominees.
