All Purchasing and Travel Barclaycard holders - Important notice

(9 August 2019)

Further to our previous Dialogue communications, all Travel and Purchasing card holders will be issued with a new Barclaycard and PINsentry device. This is a requirement of the new PSD2 EU legislation. You will need your PINsentry device to make online payments from Saturday, 14 September. It will be delivered directly to yourself via the University internal post system. The PINsentry device will not be needed to make in-person payments, for example at a Café or Train Station.

New Card Distribution – Drop-in Sessions

All current Purchasing and Travel card holders are required to attend an upcoming drop-in session held by Procurement. The dates and times of these sessions are stated below. Any session can be attend and there’s no need to book ahead. If you’re a Purchasing or Travel card holder please pop along during one of the times shown below. Please bring with you your current Purchasing or Travel card and Campus Card for ID, you will then be asked to sign the back of your new card. Queue permitting the process shouldn’t take longer than a few minutes. Please note Barclaycards can only be collected by the cardholder and cannot be collected by a desigated individual.

Drop-in session date, time and locations:

  • Monday 12 August – Palatine Centre – Meeting Room D/PC005 - 9.30am – 3pm
  • Friday 16 August – Palatine Centre – Meeting Room D/PC005 – 9.30am – 4.30pm
  • Wednesday 21 August – Rowan House – Meeting Room Rowan 1 – 12 noon – 4.45pm
  • Friday 23 August – Mountjoy Centre – Meeting Room Holly 1 – 9am – 4.45pm

Should you or someone you know not be available during these times please could you email corporatecard.enquiries@durham.ac.uk, stating PSD2 in the subject line. We will make a note of this absence and arrange collection directly with the individual.
