Changes to the Graduate Destinations Survey

(20 February 2019)

The Destination of Leavers of Higher Education (DLHE) survey has been replaced with the Graduate Outcomes survey. Our 2017-18 leavers will be among the first graduates to go through the Graduate Outcomes survey - with the first cohort surveyed in December 2018 and the first data to be published in spring 2020. Find out more about the GO survey here and about the DLHE survey here. If you have any questions, or need any destination data for leavers up to 2016-17, please contact Jemma McAloon in the Careers & Enterprise Centre.

In a significant change from the DLHE survey, leavers will now be contacted at 15 months after graduation rather than 6 months. Please note this change to the timing of the survey will leave a gap in the graduate destinations data available, with the data from the 2016-17 DLHE survey, which was published in summer 2018, being the most up to date data until the first GO data is published by HESA in spring 2020. How this will be dealt with in the terms of league tables, the TEF and other applications of the data is yet to be established. The management of the survey is also significantly different with HESA now administering the survey, rather than each HE provider gathering their data and submitting it to HESA.
