Volunteers needed

(25 January 2019)

The Staff Volunteering Team is looking for five more volunteers to help at Durham Foodbank on Friday, 1 February between 9.30am - 1.30pm. The tasks involve sorting and packing donations at the food store in Chester-le Street. Please email if you are able to help.

About the organisation: Foodbank services in County Durham are fast-growing in terms of the geographical coverage and also the numbers of people it helps. Food is provided to around 1,300 people each month and service-users are treated as individuals and supported in specific ways. Volunteer work with the Foodbank is crucial to the smooth running of the ever-growing operation.
