Centre for Cultural Ecologies lecture

(23 January 2019)

This lecture entitled 'Heating the Human Climate', delivered by Sally Weintrobe, Fellow of the British Psychoanalytical Society (BPAS), will take place on Monday, 25 February at 6pm in CG083, Chemistry Building. Everyone is welcome to attend and booking is not required. For more information please contact barry.a.sheils@durham.ac.uk or visit the website.

A Fellow of the British Psychoanalytical Society (BPAS), a Chartered Clinical Psychologist (BPS) and a founding member of the Climate Psychology Alliance (CPA), Sally edited the influential book, Engaging with Climate Change: Psychoanalytic and Interdisciplinary Perspectives in 2012. She will speak about the complex psychology underlying our responses to climate change: how do denial and disavowal function in the context of climate change, and how do we learn to care?
