The Student Employability Fund

(23 November 2018)

A new Student Employability Fund is now available to those who face financial barriers which inhibit their access to recruitment and employment activities. The scheme will provide a contribution toward the cost of travel, clothing and subsistence for current, registered undergraduate and postgraduate students who are attending external recruitment activities and employability development experiences.

In it's pilot year, the fund will be available to all students who come from families whose household income is within the lowest bracket (less than £25,000). If there is significant demand for the fund, it is hoped that the fund will be made available to a larger cohort of students next year.

The application process has been designed to be very straightforward for all eligible students, with an efficient process in place to ensure funds are available for last-minute employment opportunities.
