Interface arts workshop

(7 September 2018)

Join the hands-on creative collage workshop led by artist Wendy Parkin at the Oriental Museum on Saturday, 15 September at 2pm. The workshop is suitable for people aged 16+ and will cost £3 per person. Places are limited so booking is essential. To book, please contact the Oriental Museum on 0191 3345694 or email oriental.museum@durham.ac.uk.

The Pop Art movement emerged in the 1950s and challenged traditional perceptions of art, often by including imagery from popular culture and advertising.

You will be introduced to the main techniques used in collage and create your own individual art work using found materials and a little bit of imagination.

All equipment and materials provided. No experience necessary.

About the artist

Wendy Parkin is an artist based in North-East England. Her work focuses on portraiture, in particular children and animals. Wendy is a member of Interface Arts, a north-east art collective.
