Future of European Research - 24 September 2018

(13 August 2018)

Have you got new and exciting ideas about the future European research? Do you want to know more about how to engage in European research policy? Interested in how policy intersects with academic research? The Wellcome Trust and Newcastle University will bring together the next generation of researchers with scientists who changed policy, and policymakers from government and science organisations working on research policy. This event will take place on Monday, 24 September, 12.30pm-5pm (networking drinks at 6pm) at Newcastle University. Places are limited, so please register by Friday, 14 September.

The event is open to PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, and those in their first independent positions - from any discipline or institutions. You will have an opportunity to ask questions, raise concerns and put forward ideas for improving the way European research works. There will be an introduction to engaging with policy makers, and you can hear about what Wellcome are doing on Brexit.
