About County Durham Socialist Clothing Bank

  • We decide to set up this clothing bank with the aim to help those that need it, this is supported The Unite Community, Durham Miners Association and other Unions.
  • We provide clothing and toiletries for people in need of help due to the welfare cuts and sanctions, zero hours, homeless and those on low wages.
  • We work alongside food banks but separate from them giving to those on benefits, all you need is proof you are on a benefit, waiting for a benefit or sanctioned or homeless etc. No Voucher needed, no questions asked
  • ALL CLOTHING AND TOILETRIES ARE FREE. One bag of clothing per person and one bag of toiletries per family
  • We will provide clothing and toiletries to those who come for help, we will turn no one away. We run the Clothing Bank at Brandon Welfare Hall once a fortnight. We will try to help people in other areas to open more Clothing Banks, with the aim for them to run them in their own areas. We value people's input into this and everyone is welcome to have their say in their community.
  • We understand how hard it is for people, So do not be afraid to ask us for help. We do not bite.
  • In this day and age and with this government these clothing and food banks are a life line to those in need of help.
  • We understand how hard it is for people today, so do not be afraid to contact us to get involved or ask us for help.
