Footprint: an environmental event

(11 May 2018)

Footprint is an environmental event held on Friday, 15 June and Saturday, 16 June. It will look at ways in which we as individuals and communities can reduce our environmental impact, and how to encourage a more positive and hopeful discussion about climate change. There are 20 free early bird tickets and standard prices are only £7. Check out the website for more details.

The event consists of a series of workshops and talks by experts from across the UK, as well as involvement of some local Durham initiatives. This is a chance to get together with like minded people and discuss solutions to environmental problems faced in Durham and the wider community, and develop action plans for how to implement these solutions. There will also be art and music exhibitions and the chance to get involved in some more creative communication methods such as creative writing, using nature in art, and engaging with music from countries vulnerable to climate change.
