Two funding opportunities available

There are currently two funding opportunities available to support collaboration with universities in Brazil. FAPESP-Durham SPRINT (São Paulo Researchers in International Collaboration) initiative is currently open for applications and will close on 30 July 2018. CAPES (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior) have just announced an initiative (in Portuguese) ‘School of Advanced Studies’ which aims to bring teachers/researchers of international standing to Brazil for short stays of up to a month. 1. FAPESP-Durham SPRINT (São Paulo Researchers in International Collaboration) initiative
This initiative, jointly funded by FAPESP (São Paulo Research Foundation) and Durham University, is designed to encourage and promote joint research collaboration between researchers based in universities/institutes in the State of São Paulo and Durham.
The scheme seedcorn-type mobility funding for the initial phase of international research collaborations with clear expectations that the next phase will be a joint submission by the researchers for larger grants to pursue the research started under SPRINT and consolidate the partnership.
