Coming soon: New improved self-service portal for your IT queries

CIS is making a significant upgrade to the Service Desk system that they use to log and manage incidents, requests and changes. This will provide a much improved self-service portal for you to log and track the progress of your calls, and comes with a powerful search function to help you find things more easily. In order to perform the upgrade, the current self-service portal will be unavailable between 5pm on Tuesday, 3 April to 12pm on Wednesday, 4 April. You can still contact the IT Service Desk during this time by calling 0191 334 1515.

If you have an issue or request during the downtime that is not urgent, we would encourage you to wait until after the upgrade and use the new self-service portal to log your call. Any emails sent to the IT Service Desk during the downtime window will be delayed until after the upgrade has been completed. The new self-service portal will be available for use after noon on Wednesday, 4 April. CIS will send out further communications regarding the upgrade and associated downtime via Dialogue Signposts in the coming weeks.
