Places available on January training courses

(5 January 2018)

New Year, new training opportunities with CAROD - and there are still a few places available on training courses, primarily aimed and professional and support services
staff, starting with the first in our new ‘Hot Topics’ series.

These sessions cover a range of topics which have been requested through the ADR process, feedback from workshop delegates and via team development discussions. The first on Friday 19 January at 2pm at the Business School is ‘Understanding Strategy’ which covers covers the appropriate steps to take to develop and implement strategy in a Durham context.

On Wednesday 24 January is the Report Writing full-day workshop for those staff who wish to boost their writing confidence and make sure that their reports get noticed and actioned. The workshop sets out a step-by-step process for communicating clear messages to the people who need to read them.

Speed Reading & Information Management, another full day workshop on Thursday 25 January, is for those who want to be able to deal with vast amounts of information quickly. It is suitable for anyone who feels overwhelmed by the amount of reading they have to do. It features opportunities to apply techniques and processes for increasing reading speed and maximising both comprehension and recall of what you read.

The programme of ‘Change’ courses continues to run throughout February and March and all of the workshops detailed are available to book on the Training Course Booking System.
