IHRR Workshop: Ethical dilemmas in practice

Ethical considerations are a fundamental part of research and as scholars people often grapple with how to ethically shape and engage their work. At times, it can be difficult to understand how to proceed. In this workshop, scholars from different departments will share ethical dilemmas they encounter. The workshop will take place on Wednesday, 31 January 2018 between 2pm and 4pm in the Lindisfarne Centre, St Aidan's College. Speakers include Geoff Moore from DUBS who will discuss his work with ethics in business, Elisabeth Kirtsoglou from Anthropology will discuss her engagement with refugees, Katie Oven from Geography will discuss her work in the development and disasters fields and lastly, Sarah Hughes from Geography will discuss ethics in her research with asylum seekers in the UK.
