Blogging for Impact

Professor Colin Talbot, Cambridge University, will give this lecture on Wednesday, 29 November at 1.30pm in the Holgate Room, Grey College. Professor Talbot was the founding Director of the Policy@Manchester network, and a former advisor to both the Treasury and Public Administration Select Committees. If you would like to attend this event please register here.

Professor Talbot retired from the University of Manchester in summer 2017 and is currently an emeritus Professor of Government and Public Policy and Research Associate with the Judge Business School and Cambridge Public Policy. In this workshop he will discuss his experience and success in engaging policymakers through online blogs and ‘virtual policy labs’. His advice on public sector performance, public spending systems and civil service reform has been sought by governments around the world – including the OMB in the USA and Prime Ministers and Cabinet Department in Australia. His research on Government, Academics and Policymaking has included experimental virtual Policy Labs
