Call for Applications: International Engagement Grants
Our Global Strategy reinforces our support for international partnerships that enhance our competitiveness and reputation for research. Our International Office has now launched two travel grant funding calls. Grants will be up to £2,000 each (larger grants may be awarded in exceptional circumstances). The application cycle will be open until Thursday, 6 June. The total fund available for each call is £30,000. Applications will be considered at the time of submission and award decisions made on a case-by-case basis. Once the total fund has been awarded, applications will close. New Song - Biblical Hebrew Poetry as Jewish and Christian Scripture for the 21st Century
This conference will be held on Monday, 24 June and Tuesday, 25 June at Ushaw College, Durham. It will bring together leading scholars from around the world to explore the significance of the poetic medium in the ongoing interpretive engagement with Biblical Hebrew poetry as Scripture in today's world. The aim of the conference is to move beyond reconstructive historical work to constructive theological work. Register now.

Research Conversation: X-ray Free-Electron Laser Science
The Research Development team will host a research conversation in collaboration with Professor Peter Hatton, Department of Physics, to explore new opportunities in x-ray free-electron laser science with a view to building a new research group. The event will take place on Wednesday, 27 March, 12 noon-4.30pm in the Derman Christopherson Room, Calman Learning Centre with lunch on arrival.
