Health and Safety workshops for Principal Investigators

Health and Safety (H&S) Services are re-launching the Introduction to Managing H&S for Principal Investigators workshops. This is an opportunity for participants to gain an insight into the key components of effective H&S management in a research-based environment and provide staff with an awareness of the underlying legislative principles and business drivers. The workshops are primarily aimed at new and existing academic staff overseeing research in laboratories or higher-risk fieldwork activities in the Faculties of Science and Social Sciences and Health. Book your place. For more information, please contact

Registration now open for summer language courses

The Centre for Foreign Language study’s programme of summer courses is now open for registration. Courses are available as 9 week evening classes, as well as in an intensive format delivered over 9 working days. All are open to Durham University staff, students and members of the public (for a fee). An ‘early bird’ discount is available when registering for an intensive course by midnight Tuesday, 30 April.
