Delivering Research Project Workshop
This workshop, on Monday 30 April 2018 in the Hogan Lovells Lecture Theatre, brings together the key support elements of the University to deliver a one-day workshop for all staff holding their first grant, to aid them in managing people, ideas and resources. The workshop is open to academic and research staff.
Items covered include:
- Employment Law & Recruitment
- Equality & Diversity
- Procurement & Budgeting
- Research Governance
- Intellectual Property
- Open Access

Staff and students are invited to engage with the Effectiveness Review which is jointly led by the University Secretary and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost by providing a response to the online consultation that is taking place during the Evidence Gathering stage of the Review. Suessical the Musical
Durham University Light Opera Group (DULOG) will present Seussical the Musical at the Gala Theatre, Durham City, from 16 to 20 January. The musical is based on the children's books of Dr Seuss.

Mount Oswald project approved
The Mount Oswald project to develop new colleges and student facilities has been granted planning permission. Work is expected to begin on site in spring 2018. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the project to date. Keep up to date with all the latest Estate developments here.
