Middle Eastern Promise: NOF Energy to hold conference in Middle East for first time

The conference and exhibition, takes place in Abu Dhabi on September 27 and 28, in partnership with UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) and British Business Group Abu Dhabi. Speakers from the UAE and UK, including DEI Advisory Board Chair Professor Alan Lowdon, will discuss oil and gas, nuclear and renewables market opportunities and in-country experiences, alongside networking opportunities, an exhibition and one-to-one sessions with buyers and UAE companies keen to partner will the UK supply chain.

NOF Energy is giving UK businesses the opportunity to exhibit in the UAE to showcase their firms along with their innovative technologies and solutions for the energy sector. In addition, there will be one-to-one sessions to meet key buyers and local companies.
Those taking part will hear from key speakers across the energy sector, find out about potential future opportunities, learn more about the energy sectors in the UK and UAE, identify new contacts and network with energy sector professionals, meet potential new customers or suppliers and understand the opportunities presented through diversification.
The event features an impressive line-up of speakers from high-profile energy companies including Shell Abu Dhabi, Amec Foster Wheeler and Atkins Global. Stephanie Al Qaq, UKTI Deputy Head of Mission, United Arab Emirates will be making a keynote speech, while Professor Alan Lowdon from the University of Durham Energy Institute will be giving an insight into the UK renewables experience; the value of collaboration among suppliers.
Energy: A Balanced Future also incorporates an exhibition showcase area, where confirmed exhibitors include Unasys, Flowline Specialists, the British Chamber of Commerce Qatar, IMI SSF, British Centres for Business, Myriad, C&P Engineering and British Business Group Abu Dhabi.
Mr Rafferty added: “Governments in the Middle East have taken many steps to create an open market that makes the UAE an attractive investment proposition. Now is the time for British businesses to input into this Middle Eastern market to share knowledge, capabilities and skills to drive the industry forward.
