Postgraduate Research

The Centre offers a lively and interdisciplinary point of focus for postgraduate students wishing to pursue research on photography-related projects. Members of the Centre can offer supervision for MAs by Research and PhDs in a range of subjects, including the following:

  • Cultural memory and photography
  • The visual representation of the built environment
  • Photography and national cultures (Latin America, the Francophone world and the German-speaking world)
  • Photography and the sociology of culture
  • War, atrocity and human rights
