We love to share our facilities with local communities, and so we were pleased to host a charity football match at our Collingwood College recently.

Our Vice-Chancellor Stuart Corbridge and players from Durham Women FC were among more than 60 players who took part in the seven-hour game.

At the final whistle, the team representing Sunderland defeated Newcastle 61-54.

The match raised £250 to help Durham Johnston sixth formers Gabriel McCall and Sam Brunton fund their World Challenge visit to Vietnam and Laos next summer.
