Hundreds of children enjoy summer camps with upgraded facilities

(2 September 2019)

Over 700 children have enjoyed a fun and active summer at our holiday camps.

This is the seventh year in a row we’ve run summer holiday camps. They’re always popular with children and with their parents and carers.

This year the young people have enjoyed some of the fantastic new facilities at our upgraded Sports and Wellbeing Park.

What’s on offer?

Mini and multi sports camps for children aged four to 11.

Dance and drama camps and cricket camps for children aged seven to 11.

Multi sports camps for young people aged 11 to 14.

Adventure camps and Learn to Row camps for young people aged 11 to 16.

Plus two levels of sculling camps and tennis camps.

Prices are very reasonable (from £12 per day per child), and early drop-offs and late pick-ups are also available to help parents and carers with other commitments.

Upgraded facilities

This year’s summer camp participants were among the first to try out a new sports hall and equipment we’ve created as part of a £32 million upgrade of our Sports and Wellbeing Park at Maiden Castle.

What did the kids think?

We had loads of great comments from children and parents. Lucy, 11, said there had been lots of friendly people on her adventure camp.

What’s next?

Our next holiday camps will be during the October half-term break. Details will be announced soon, here.
