Take a voyage through literature with our Late Summer Lectures

(12 August 2019)

Would you like to take a voyage through literature this summer?

Then join us for the Late Summer Lecture series, running from August to October.

Tell me about it…

The Late Summer Lectures are talks from our researchers which are open to all.

The series has run each summer since 2008.

This year, there are eight talks, exploring literature from Thirteenth Century Scandinavia to modern London, via the Greek underworld and the American Midwest.

All talks are free, open to all and held at Alington House Community Centre, 4 North Bailey, Durham City, on Wednesdays from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.

The first talk will be held on Wednesday 14 August, when History PhD student Kate Marlow will discuss Egil’s Saga, a 13th Century Scandinavian saga.
